About The Position

GRBS is hiring part-time evening-shift custodians to clean public school buildings in the Haslett area. Available schedules are Monday through Friday, with work one weekend per month, across several evening time slots: 5:00–9:00 p.m., 5:00–10:00 p.m., 5:00–10:30 p.m., 6:00–8:00 p.m., or 6:00–10:00 p.m. The pay rate is $16.50 per hour.

The work includes vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning restrooms, removing trash, and other cleaning tasks as assigned. GRBS describes its workplace as committed to honorable and safe employment, diversity, equity, inclusion, and supporting employee growth and development.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have valid identification.
• Have a positive attitude and be a team player.
• Be customer-service focused, dependable, self-motivated, and hardworking.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work each day.
• Individuals with theft-, violence-, or drug-related backgrounds do not qualify for employment under Michigan public schools requirements.

Responsibilities

• Attend work consistently.
• Follow GRBS processes.
• Communicate mindfully and respectfully with others.
• Complete work according to the building map and assigned shift.
• Vacuum, mop, and dust.
• Clean restrooms and remove trash.
• Complete other cleaning tasks as assigned.
