Part-time Custodian
About The Position
Cuyahoga Falls Library is hiring a dependable, service-oriented part-time Custodian to help keep the Library clean, safe, and welcoming for patrons, staff, and programs. The role includes custodial cleaning throughout the library building and property, meeting-room setup and takedown, urgent cleaning response, general facility upkeep, and assistance with seasonal grounds maintenance. The position works 20 hours per week. The schedule includes an eight-hour Monday shift from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM, plus two or more additional weekday or weekend shifts. Days and times vary based on Library needs. Pay is $15.39 per hour and includes paid vacation, sick, personal, and holiday time.
Requirements
- Reliable and professional, with the ability to work independently, follow directions, and provide excellent service to staff and patrons.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Basic computer skills.
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, reaching, moving furniture, climbing stairs, using custodial equipment and tools, carrying trash, shoveling snow, and lifting up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain library spaces, furniture, restrooms, meeting rooms, and public areas.
- Set up and take down rooms for library programs, meetings, and community use.
- Respond promptly to urgent cleaning needs and help maintain a safe environment.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, inspections, projects, and emergency procedures.
- Assist with grounds upkeep and snow removal as assigned.
- Communicate clearly with team members and staff.
