About The Position

Campus Services Group (CSG) is seeking a dedicated part-time School Custodian to maintain a clean and safe environment at its facility in Escanaba, Michigan. The custodian works closely with staff and students to help the school meet high cleanliness standards and provide a tidy environment. The starting pay rate is $14.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a school setting preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently.
• Ability to complete responsibilities without supervision after training.
• Punctuality and reliability for scheduled shifts.
• Ability to stand and walk for 6–8 hours daily.
• Ability to lift and carry, and push and pull, up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies, as required by state, local, and/or customers.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial and cleaning tasks in assigned areas according to quality standards and safety guidelines.
• Use protective gear during cleaning tasks.
• Complete cleaning assignments on schedule.
• Report equipment or cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisors.
• Dust mop and damp mop floors in classrooms and common spaces.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, classrooms, and common areas.
• Remove trash, empty wastebaskets, and perform related duties as assigned.
• Respond promptly to paging system alerts and customer requests.
• Follow infection control procedures and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary environment.
