About The Position

Camden Rockport Middle School is now hiring a year-round Custodian Shift Lead. This position oversees custodial operations when the Head Custodian is not there, and is the point person for the 2nd shift team. The normal work schedule for this position is 3 PM to 11:30 PM. The successful candidate will be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekend rotation, and be willing to adapt to different assignments from day to day.

Requirements

Knowledge of safety procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery.
Ability to perform a wide range of cleaning duties.
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other staff.
Time management and prioritization skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Dexterity in problem-solving.
Background check, including fingerprinting.
Maine Department of Education CHRC Approval.

Responsibilities

Oversee building cleaning, maintenance, and repair requirements during shifts.
Designated person in charge of facility security during shifts.
Document facility and personnel concerns during shift and report them to the Head Custodian.
Maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment within the school buildings and grounds, including but not limited to: General floor care and cleaning, Restroom maintenance, including sanitizing and stocking, Waste management, Window/Wall cleaning.
Perform minor repairs to ensure the proper functioning of building systems.
Aid in set-up for special events.
Ensure clean school grounds, including litter removal.
Aid with snow/ice removal as needed.
