About The Position

The Custodian II maintains clean, safe, and welcoming University facilities through routine and specialized cleaning, equipment operation, quality support, and dependable customer service. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

This is a first-shift position scheduled Wednesday through Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The position is regular and benefits-eligible.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively to perform job duties.
• At least one year of custodial or housekeeping experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of custodial practices, safety procedures, and proper chemical handling.
• Ability to operate assigned equipment safely, work independently, follow directions, and provide helpful customer service.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move custodial supplies and equipment, and work on foot for extended periods.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and cleaning equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to follow instructions and perform repetitive manual work.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of custodial or housekeeping experience.
• One year of supervisor or leadership experience.
