About The Position

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Custodian II - Housekeeper responsible for cleaning and maintaining public areas including hallways, lobbies, and stairways. This role involves detailed cleaning tasks such as high dusting, carpet care, and floor care. The position also requires ensuring the preventative care of cleaning equipment like shampoo machines and sweepers. The job involves maintaining cleanliness of assigned areas, removing trash and debris, and operating a stripping machine which requires maneuvering a minimum of 75 pounds. Responsibilities include removing trash, cleaning rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture using various cleaning tools, and handling property clean-up including bio-chemical materials. The role demands finger dexterity, the ability to stand for long periods, and the capacity to bend, twist, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Additionally, the custodian will ensure preventative care of equipment and supplies, and perform other duties as assigned by management. This is a day shift position with steady hours and no layoffs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• No experience required, will provide training.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for duration of shift.
• Must be able to work in a smoky environment on a regular basis.
• Must be able to work around flashing lights and loud music or sounds on a regular basis.
• Requires finger dexterity.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, twist, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining public areas including hallways, lobbies, and stairways.
• Performing detail work, high dusting, carpet care, and floor care.
• Ensuring preventative care of cleaning equipment such as shampoo machines and sweepers.
• Maintaining cleanliness of assigned areas; picking up and removing trash and debris.
• Operating a stripping machine, which involves pulling, pushing, and maneuvering a minimum of 75 pounds.
• Removing trash, cleaning rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture using vacuum cleaner, broom, or shampoo machine.
• Responsible for property clean up including bio-chemical material.
• Ensuring preventative care of equipment and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
