About The Position

The Custodian I cleans and maintains public areas such as hallways, lobbies, stairways, and locker rooms, and delivers and retrieves guest-room items including rollaway beds, irons, and ironing boards. The role maintains assigned areas, removes trash and debris, performs property cleanup that may involve bio-chemical material, stocks linen closets, loads and unloads linen carts, and ensures preventative care of equipment and supplies. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

• Meet the minimum age requirement of 18 or 21, depending on the property.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during most of the shift.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of cleaning experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public areas, including hallways, lobbies, stairways, and locker rooms.
• Deliver and retrieve rollaway beds, irons, ironing boards, and other items to guest rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas and pick up and remove trash and debris.
• Clean up the property, including bio-chemical material.
• Stock linen supplies in linen closets and load and unload linen carts.
• Ensure preventative care of equipment and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
