About The Position

This position is responsible for: Cleans and maintains the buildings and grounds daily to ensure neatness and cleanliness. Drives a Salvation Army vehicle to transport passengers to and from Salvation Army activities or to conduct business on behalf of the Salvation Army.

Requirements

• High School or G.E.D.
• Six months experience performing general housekeeping/custodial duties; experience operating and maintaining company vehicles preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and must meet TSA MVR Requirements
• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read and communicate the English language.
• Ability to exert the physical energy required to performing housekeeping and minor maintenance work.
• Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; cleans sinks and toilets, polishes mirrors, and replenishes supplies.
• Sweeps, vacuums, mops and waxes floors; sweeps sidewalks.
• Cleans kitchen and dining area; washes dishes; cleans and defrosts refrigerator; cleans stoves and ovens.
• Stocks and sorts of pantry items.
• Empties trash cans regularly; collects trash from grounds.
• Assists in setting up meeting rooms; sets up tables and chairs.
• Drives a Salvation Army vehicle to transport passengers to and from Salvation Army activities or to conduct business on behalf of the Salvation Army.
