About The Position
This position is responsible for driving a Salvation Army vehicle to transport passengers to and from Salvation Army activities. Key responsibilities include providing transportation for members to and from the Corps each Sunday, transporting children to and from afternoon activities, and driving Home League members to and from the Fellowship Hall. The driver must drive carefully, observe and comply with all traffic signs and road/weather conditions to ensure passenger safety.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Two years experience operating an automotive vehicle, or Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Valid State Driver's License
- CDL; Class B
- Medical certificate
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
- Ability to drive a vehicle in heavy traffic and extended trips.
- Ability to spend the night away from home due to extended trips.
