About The Position

This intermediate, individual-contributor position keeps assigned areas clean, sanitized, and orderly to eliminate distractions in a safe and efficient manner. The employee works under general supervision and handles moderately complex tasks, referring more complicated issues to higher-level staff. The role may include helping with grounds, special events, or other manual labor. It may involve work in damp, dusty, or dirty areas and the use of cleaning solvents and chemicals. The position is temporary, part-time, and fixed-term for six months, at the Manti Utah Temple. Church employees use their talents and abilities to further the Lord’s work. Only Church members worthy of a temple recommend qualify for employment. Requirements

Certify in the use of needed equipment, such as sweepers, buffers, lifts, carpet-cleaning machinery, and high-rise power washers.
Understand basic instructions, complete basic tasks, and handle basic issues and problems.
Independently lift and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally team-lift and position objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
Stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop, push, pull, twist, bend, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
Work from ladders, scaffolds, and mechanical lifts for extended periods.
Work with commercial-grade cleaners and chemicals and comply with all regulations for handling chemicals.
Work professionally with others and independently without constant supervision.
Have a positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
Understand English for general communication, video training, building security, and safety; understand verbal and written instructions and ask clarifying questions as needed.
Be a Church member worthy of a temple recommend.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of the subject matter; typically, two years of related work experience is preferred.
Experience with project work or executive cleaning.
May be required to work outdoors in all seasons, temperatures, and types of weather.
May require a valid driver's license.
May be required to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Clean offices, restrooms, public areas, and fixtures as instructed.
Operate mechanized cleaning equipment, including vacuums, polishers, buffers, scrubbers, sweepers, power washers, and extraction equipment.
Operate balers, shredders, aerial lifts, and forklifts.
Clean windows and building exteriors.
Clean carpets, rugs, upholstery, and drapes.
Sanitize areas, furnishings, or fixtures as instructed.
Wet- or damp-mop floors.
Dust or polish furnishings, light fixtures, window sills, wood paneling, and similar surfaces.
Dispose of trash, waste, and other materials.
Perform emergency cleanups, including floods, bodily fluids, and spills.
Restock supplies.
Move furniture, supplies, and miscellaneous equipment.
Remove leaves or snow.
Fulfill on-call responsibilities if required.
May be assigned executive VIP responsibilities.
Report safety or security issues and needed repairs.
Perform other assigned duties and attend meetings.
May help with grounds, special events, or other manual labor.
