About The Position

This intermediate, individual-contributor position keeps assigned areas clean, sanitized, and orderly to eliminate distractions in a safe and efficient manner. The role may also include grounds work, special events, executive VIP responsibilities, or other manual labor duties. Work is performed under general supervision, with the employee handling moderately complex issues independently and referring more complicated issues to higher-level staff. The role may provide leadership, coaching, or mentoring to others. The work may take place in damp, dusty, or dirty areas and may involve cleaning solvents and chemicals. It may also require working outside in any season, temperature, or type of weather. On-call responsibilities may be required.

Requirements

Certify in the use of any required equipment, such as sweepers, buffers, lifts, carpet-cleaning machinery, and high-rise power washers.
Understand basic instructions, complete basic tasks, and handle basic issues and problems.
Lift and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently and team-lift and position objects weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop, push, pull, twist, bend, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
Work from ladders, scaffolds, and mechanical lifts for extended periods.
Work with commercial-grade cleaners and chemicals and comply with all regulations associated with handling chemicals.
Work professionally with others and alone without constant supervision, and contribute positively as a team member.
Understand English for general communication, video training, building security, and safety; understand verbal and written instructions and ask clarifying questions as needed.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of the subject matter; typically, two years of related work experience is preferred.
Experience with project work or executive cleaning.
A valid driver's license may be required.
Passing a criminal background check may be required.

Responsibilities

Clean offices, restrooms, and public areas, including fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
Operate mechanized cleaning equipment, including vacuums, polishers, buffers, scrubbers, sweepers, power washers, and extraction equipment.
Operate balers, shredders, aerial lifts, and forklifts.
Clean windows and building exteriors, carpets, rugs, upholstery, and drapes.
Sanitize areas, furnishings, and fixtures as instructed.
Wet- or damp-mop floors and dust or polish furnishings and surfaces.
Dispose of trash, waste, and other materials.
Perform emergency cleanups, including floods, bodily fluids, and spills.
Restock supplies and move furniture, supplies, and miscellaneous equipment.
Remove leaves or snow.
Perform on-call duties when required and, when assigned, executive VIP responsibilities.
Report safety or security issues and needed repairs.
Perform other duties and attend meetings as assigned.
