Custodial Worker 1
About The Position
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is hiring a Custodial Worker 1 to maintain clean, safe, and orderly facilities and grounds at Clinton County Maintenance and Roadside Rest Facilities. The role combines custodial duties, groundskeeping, basic facility upkeep, and safety-focused practices to support welcoming spaces for employees and travelers. This is a full-time, onsite position. The work schedule is 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. The schedule may change due to weather or season. Telework is not available. New Commonwealth of Pennsylvania employees will start at an annual salary of $36,010 before taxes.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Clean offices, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and related fixtures.
- Sweep, mop, buff, strip, and wax floors using custodial equipment and supplies.
- Empty waste containers, remove garbage, and sort recyclable materials into appropriate collection areas.
- Restock restroom supplies; dust furniture and equipment; and clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
- Cut grass, trim hedges, remove leaves and snow, and keep walkways and entrances neat and orderly.
- Report hazards, respond appropriately to emergencies, follow safety procedures, and wear required protective equipment.
- Assist with minor repairs and facility needs.
