About The Position
The Custodial Worker 1 with the Department of Transportation helps maintain clean, safe, and usable facilities and outdoor areas, supporting transportation maintenance operations across the district. The role includes routine cleaning of restrooms, offices, garages, and meeting areas; collecting waste; dusting, sweeping, mopping, waxing floors, and washing windows. It also involves maintaining grounds with equipment such as mowers and trimmers, clearing snow, ice, leaves, and minor storm debris, and replacing light bulbs or making simple repairs. Issues may be reported to supervisors. The position also requires completing forms and maintaining accurate purchase documents and inventory records. This is a full-time position with work hours of 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and a 30-minute lunch. New Commonwealth of Pennsylvania employees will begin at an annual salary of $36,010 before taxes. A conditional offer requires submission of criminal history reports.

Responsibilities
