As a Custodial Worker 1 for the Department of Human Services, you will help maintain a safe and comfortable environment for everyone who walks through our doors. This position gives you the chance to support patient care by keeping essential areas tidy. Your efforts will make a meaningful difference each day.

Requirements

• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Clean restrooms, shower rooms, patient dorms, day wards, hallways, offices, activity areas, dining rooms, steps, and lobby areas
• Perform annual cleaning of walls, windows, screens, lights, curtains, blinds, and ceilings, including vents
• Strip, wax, or otherwise maintain floors annually or as needed
• Lift, climb ladders, and operate housekeeping equipment while keeping it clean
• Empty indoor and outdoor trash receptacles and keep all areas neat and free of debris
• Unpack and distribute linens as necessary and complete daily documentation
