About The Position

The Custodial Supervisor delegates and monitors custodial staff assignments, supervises and trains staff, and ensures public areas are cleaned and maintained according to company and departmental standards. The role also includes cleaning and maintaining public spaces such as hallways, lobbies, stairways, and locker rooms.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to operate and demonstrate proper use of equipment, including vacuum cleaners, carpet shampooers, and floor scrubbers.
• Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, twist, kneel, and crouch.
• Must be knowledgeable about cleaning chemicals used by the department.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of experience in a similar position preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute work assignments, adjusting them during each shift as business needs require.
• Inspect and approve cleaning of designated areas.
• Handle personnel matters, including hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and monitoring.
• Check cleaning aids and equipment to ensure they are in proper working order and comply with safety standards.
• Complete maintenance work orders and follow up to ensure repairs are completed.
• Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, including picking up and removing trash and debris.
• Clean up property areas involving bio-chemical material.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
