About The Position

The custodial supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in cleaning and maintaining premises of a behavioral healthcare hospital. This role involves acting as a point of contact for the customer, ensuring requests are addressed promptly, and maintaining communication with the customer and manager regarding site updates, progress, issues, or concerns. The supervisor is also responsible for scheduling staff, assuring adequate coverage, and adhering to daily job routines and cleaning procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Two years related experience and/or training preferred.
Must have a driver's license with no more than 4 points.
Must have current driving insurance in compliance with Ohio law.
Must be able to pass background checks as required by site.
Must receive TB test upon hire and receive annual flu vaccine.
Must have strong communication skills to coordinate customer needs and expectations and supervise staff.

Nice To Haves

Some lawncare and floor care experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Act as point of contact for customer and ensure that all requests are addressed promptly.
Maintain regular communication with customer and manager to keep all parties informed on site updates, progress, issues or concerns.
Schedule staff and assure adequate coverage for site duties.
Follow the daily job routine in the order it is outlined.
Use the correct step by step procedure for each cleaning task.
Follow manufacturer's recommendations for use of all cleaning solutions and equipment.
Follow all safety procedures when operating equipment.
Assign tasks to workers and inspect completed work for conformance to standards.
Maintain, order and issue supplies and equipment including inventory of needed supplies.
Maintain all equipment, supplies, or supply rooms in and orderly fashion.
Resolve workers' problems or refer matters to Manager.
Submit requests for repair of equipment to Manager.
Assist in performing duties of workers supervised.
Ensure a level of cleanliness which meets the quality expectations of the customer.
Interact with fellow employees and public caretaker in a courteous and friendly manner.
Contribute information for employees' annual reviews as requested.
Perform and complete payroll as required.
