About The Position

The Custodial Services Supervisor supports the EVS Manager and Shift Manager in planning and implementing department meetings, training, and team-member coaching. The role oversees shift staffing, productivity, budgets, payroll, overtime, supplies, and equipment, and monitors cleanliness and service standards throughout the casino and related facilities. The position is primarily supervisory, but may require hands-on work alongside team members during peak periods, absences, or special situations.

Requirements

• Two years of prior supervisory experience in Environmental Services or a similar field.
• High school diploma.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal, written, and computer communication skills.
• Excellent judgment and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

• Some college is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the EVS Manager and Shift Manager with planning and implementing weekly supervisor meetings and quarterly team-member meetings, and conduct pre-shift meetings.
• Implement training guidelines and follow up to ensure training programs are functioning properly.
• Coach new team members to support their transition into productive members of the EVS team.
• Ensure shift managers have a list of supply and equipment needs and that equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored properly.
• Assist with interviewing and hiring team members for the shift.
• Understand budgeting and the efforts required to meet budgets.
• Prepare recognition and improvement coaching for team members using specific examples.
• Check staffing levels to support proper daily productivity.
• Review payroll and ATS, report discrepancies, and monitor overtime.
• Conduct ongoing visual inspections of the casino, food and beverage outlets, streetscape, and administrative offices; contact the shift manager to correct deficiencies and maintain standards.
• Ensure chemicals are stored, handled, diluted, and used safely and properly.
• Communicate relevant information to the manager and shift manager to help the department run effectively.
• Work hands-on with team members when needed during peak periods, absences, or special situations to ensure proper coverage.
