About The Position

The Custodial Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized store environment, with an emphasis on floor care. The role includes operating floor-care equipment and cleaning floors, glass, windows, and other store areas. The associate maintains cleanliness and recovery standards throughout the store, supports customer experience practices, and follows company policies and standards for health and safety, merchandising, operations, and loss prevention. The associate is cross-trained to work in multiple store areas and provides Front End coverage as needed. They communicate effectively with management and coworkers, support a positive store culture, participate in safety awareness, and perform other duties as assigned. This is a part-time position at the Marshalls store in Lewisville, Texas.

Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

Responsibilities

Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
Clean floors and surfaces by dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor, to support business needs.
Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction practices.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
