  • Strong knowledge of instructional design models and frameworks, including ADDIE, SAM, Gagné’s, Merrill’s, and adult learning theories.
  • Experience developing training content for diverse modalities, including ILT, vILT, eLearning, tactical performance-support tools, and hands-on field practicals.
  • Ability to support the proposal lifecycle by scoping training frameworks and technical deliverables for customer proposals.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, ambiguous, rapidly iterating environment.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with high attention to detail in technical documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct familiarity with unmanned aerial systems (UAS/sUAS), loitering munitions, autonomous robotics, tactical mission payloads, or related military systems.

  • Experience using authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, TechSmith Camtasia, or similar.
  • Experience developing learner-centered solutions beyond traditional slide-based instruction, such as simulator-based training, interactive 3D/AR/VR, or blended field-lab environments.
  • Understanding of Learning Management Systems and training tracking tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Technical Communication, Aerospace/Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, flight operators, systems engineers, and product teams to identify training requirements and define learning outcomes.
  • Partner with Business Development and Capture teams to define training requirements, develop courses of instruction, and contribute curriculum scope for RFPs, solicitations, and proposals.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and align training programs with operational military and customer objectives.
  • Design and develop curriculum frameworks, course outlines, evaluations, and instructional materials using ADDIE, Kirkpatrick, and other instructional design methodologies.
  • Translate complex technical UAS information into engaging, digestible learning experiences.
  • Create blended-learning content, including instructor-led training, e-learning modules, job aids, and hands-on practical flight and field evolutions for internal training, Train-the-Trainer, and end-user deliverables.
  • Apply adult learning theory and industry best practices to promote knowledge retention, tactical operational proficiency, and safety.
  • Partner with content creators, flight trainers, and Training Team members to support effective delivery, flight-line validation, and assessment of programs.
  • Maintain version control, documentation standards, and compliance with internal training systems and platforms.
