Charles R. Drew University (CDU) is seeking a Curriculum Coordinator to support the operations of students in the Medical Doctorate program. This role involves assisting in the development, organization, and direction of curriculum implementation, reporting on attendance, gathering evaluations, coordinating feedback, and organizing grading meetings. The coordinator will serve as an administrative liaison and project management support, ensuring efficient communication of curricular information and timely management of online course materials. They will also act as a frontline contact between students, faculty, and course directors, coordinate exam preparation, and participate in curricular committees. Responsibilities extend to supporting both Pre-Clerkship and Clerkship courses, including proctoring exams, monitoring adherence to policies, supervising support staff, and managing daily operations such as student assignments, onboarding, performance monitoring, and grade submission. The role also involves counseling students, reporting mistreatment, monitoring senior clerkship rotations, and maintaining tracking systems. Essential duties include maintaining web-based communication, editing course materials, instructing faculty on the LMS, submitting grades, representing the university positively, and demonstrating effective communication skills. The coordinator will also schedule sessions, assemble course materials, maintain knowledge of educational spaces, troubleshoot logistical issues, provide administrative support to Course Directors, coordinate meetings, and keep directors informed of academic performance. They will handle student and faculty concerns, attend events, and contribute to process improvement and personal development, adhering to ethical principles and university values.
