About The Position

The Curriculum & Catalog Coordinator helps facilitate the curriculum and program change process for assigned colleges, maintains assigned portions of official academic catalogs (undergraduate and graduate), and provides operational and academic support for the Office of the Provost. The Curriculum & Catalog Coordinator works collaboratively with the corresponding curriculum and catalog coordinator in the Office of the Provost. This position is a direct report to the Associate Vice Chancellor (AVC) for Continuous Improvement with non-curricular duties reporting to the Provost Chief of Staff.

Requirements

  • Earned Bachelor's degree;
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in higher education or relevant professional experience;
  • Workday experience.
  • Knowledge of rules, regulations, and requirements related to higher education, specifically Academic Affairs;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite, Workday, and Courseleaf;
  • Exceptional organizational skills;
  • Meticulous attention to detail;
  • Excellent writing and editing skills;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a focus on quality;
  • Ability to effectively work independently and collaboratively;
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive or legally protected information.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors, routes, reviews and tracks curriculum and program change forms (routing, signatures, and status updates) for assigned colleges;
  • Serves as the primary liaison for assigned college curriculum and program change forms, and provides guidance while communicating updates throughout the curriculum and program change process;
  • Enters approved curriculum changes into Courseleaf;
  • Coordinates with key university partners, ensuring seamless implementation of curriculum and program changes;
  • Works collaboratively with Curriculum & Catalog Coordinator counterpart on curriculum and program changes;
  • Serves as backup for Curriculum & Catalog Coordinator counterpart.
  • Directly updates and maintains the official academic catalogs (undergraduate and graduate catalog) for assigned colleges to ensure accuracy and prevent data mismatch;
  • Ensures timely review of catalog content and effectively works with key university partners/offices to perform routine catalog edits and updates;
  • Researches internal and external policies and regulations to ensure non-curricular catalog sections are in compliance with university, UA Board of Trustees, and state and federal policies and regulations.
  • Works with the Associate Vice Chancellor (AVC) of Continuous Improvement with program change inquiries and clarifies external approval processes;
  • Assists Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost, AVCs, Finance Director, and Provost Chief of Staff as needed;
  • Updates UA Little Rock academic affairs websites and non-curricular academic publications under the direction of the Provost Chief of Staff and the AVC for Continuous Improvement;
  • Provides the Provost Office with operational support for special projects, procurement, events, front desk coverage, and travel support;
  • Processes Faculty Senate legislation and provides operational support to Faculty Senate;
  • Other duties as assigned.
