About The Position

The Curbside Team Member, also described as a Digital Clerk, fulfills customers’ online curbside orders and helps provide a smooth, accurate pickup experience. The role involves shopping orders throughout the store, verifying and bagging products, staging orders, collecting payment, and assisting customers at the Meijer Pickup area. Team members use a dashboard to receive workflow and fulfill orders throughout their shift, while following store procedures and food safety guidelines. The position also involves keeping the curbside area clean and supporting other tasks as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• At least 1 year of experience.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
• Able to follow procedures efficiently and consistently.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Past online ordering experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill customers’ online curbside orders accurately and efficiently.
• Provide courteous, friendly service at the curbside pickup area and create a smooth carside pickup experience.
• Collect payment for orders.
• Greet customers in person and by phone, and respond to their questions and needs.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, team members across the store, and leadership.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly, partnering with leadership when needed.
• Use the daily workflow dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
• Select products throughout the store, scan and verify items, and bag them according to bagging standards.
• Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
• Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup.
• Perform other tasks as needed to support operations.
