About The Position

The Curbside Shopper performs general warehouse and digital-order fulfillment activities for BJ’s Wholesale Club, including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club. The role involves pulling merchandise from pick lists, using a handheld RF scanner to pick and verify orders, moving items to the staging area, and securely packaging completed orders according to standard operating procedures. The shopper helps meet service-level agreements, productivity metrics, and deadlines while communicating inventory, equipment, replenishment, and product-date issues to the appropriate club team members.

The position also maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area; handles damaged goods and spoiled products; processes returns; follows club policies and procedures; and may perform duties in other departments as needed. Team members are expected to provide friendly service, contribute to a positive member experience, collaborate respectfully, and uphold daily GOLD member and club standards. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Responsibilities

• Pull merchandise from pick lists and process member purchases in a fast, courteous, and friendly manner.
• Use a handheld RF scanner to pick orders from the sales floor and verify merchandise.
• Move merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area and securely package orders according to standard operating procedures.
• Communicate inventory or equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and merchandise replenishment needs to the club team.
• Work with the team to pull merchandise from the reserve area when possible to avoid sales-floor replenishment.
• Complete orders in a timely manner and meet productivity requirements, deadlines, service-level agreements, performance metrics, and goals.
• Follow operational efficiency, process, productivity, and SOP requirements for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Take responsibility for individual performance and work with club leadership when metrics are not met.
• Keep the SFC area neat, clean, and organized; perform housekeeping, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine whether they should be handled through DDR or the Membership desk.
• Follow club policies and procedures, including dress code standards.
• Deliver service excellence, address or escalate member concerns, and help maintain a safe and positive environment.
• Work collaboratively to meet GOLD member and club standards.
• Perform other assigned duties, including work in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
