About The Position

The Curbside Clerk fulfills customers’ online curbside orders and supports customer loyalty and satisfaction by providing fast, friendly, and accurate order fulfillment and payment collection at the curbside pickup area. The role involves working with customers, team members, and leadership to provide a courteous and easy shopping experience. The clerk receives daily workflow through a dashboard, selects and bags products according to store standards, and stages products appropriately while following food safety guidelines. The position also includes greeting customers, collecting payment, responding to questions, resolving complaints with leadership’s help when needed, and maintaining a clean and neat work environment. Other duties may be assigned or required.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Strong communication skills.
General awareness of food safety regulations.
Detail-oriented and organized.
Process-driven, with the ability to follow procedures in an organized and efficient way.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of experience in a Meijer store.
Past cashier experience.

Responsibilities

Provide fast, friendly, and accurate curbside order fulfillment and collect payment.
Maintain positive working relationships with customers, team members, and leadership.
Treat customers courteously in person and by phone, and respond to their questions and needs.
Resolve customer complaints quickly, contacting leadership when needed.
Receive and fulfill the day's workflow through the dashboard.
Select products within the store and bag them according to bagging standards.
Store products in the staging area while following food safety guidelines.
Greet customers and take payment to support an easy shopping experience.
Maintain a clean and neat work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
