About The Position

The Curbside Clerk fulfills customers’ online curbside orders and helps provide a smooth, friendly pickup experience. The role involves shopping orders accurately and promptly, collecting payment, and supporting customer loyalty and satisfaction at the Meijer Pickup area. The clerk receives workflow through a dashboard and completes orders throughout the shift, while following store procedures and food safety guidelines. The position also helps keep the curbside area clean, organized, and ready for pickups, and may support other tasks as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
• Process-driven, with the ability to follow procedures efficiently and consistently.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Past online ordering experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide remarkable service at the curbside pickup area through accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
• Greet customers courteously in person and by phone, and respond to their questions and needs.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, store team members, and leadership.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by partnering with leadership when needed.
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
• Select items throughout the store, scan and verify products, and bag items appropriately according to bagging standards.
• Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
• Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
