About The Position

The Curbside Clerk, also described as a Digital Clerk, fulfills customers’ online curbside orders and provides a smooth, friendly pickup experience. The role involves shopping and verifying orders throughout the store, staging orders safely and correctly, and assisting customers at the Meijer Pickup area. The position requires customer service, accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Minimum of 1 year of experience.
Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
Able to follow procedures efficiently and consistently.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Prior retail experience preferred.
Past cashier experience preferred.
Past online ordering experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide courteous service at the curbside pickup area, accurately fulfill orders, and collect payment during carside pickup.
Greet customers in person and by phone, and respond to their questions and needs.
Maintain positive working relationships with customers, store team members, and leadership.
Resolve customer concerns promptly, partnering with leadership when needed.
Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
Select items throughout the store, scan and verify products, and bag items according to bagging standards.
Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup.
Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
