About The Position

The Culture, Engagement & Performance Analyst provides analytical and programmatic support to WIPO's culture, engagement, diversity, and performance management functions through strong analytical capability and digital fluency. The role is responsible for designing and administering measurement instruments, converting data into insights, and supporting the planning and delivery of programs that improve employee experience and organizational effectiveness by focusing on use of digital platforms, people analytics and data visualization tools. The incumbent plays a key role in demonstrating the impact of WIPO culture and engagement investments. The position is located in the Employee Experience Unit of the Talent Management Service, Human Resources Management Department (HRMD). The purpose of the Talent Management Service is to prepare a future-ready and skilled workforce. Through the effective recruitment, deployment, development and retention of WIPO’s workforce, the Talent Management Service contributes to the delivery of an agile, innovative workforce whose performance is aligned with WIPO’s short and long-term goals and where talent management delivers tangible results that positively affect engagement.

Requirements

  • First-level university degree in Organizational Psychology, Behavioral Science, Human Resources, Statistics, Data Analytics, Social Science, Development or a related field.
  • Minimum six (6) years of professional experience in human resources, organizational research or people analytics, including experience in generating and interpreting disaggregated quantitative and qualitative data to inform HR programs and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting the planning, designing and delivering of culture, engagement, diversity and belonging initiatives that respond to data insights and maximize employees’ experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with employee survey design and analysis, segmentation and disaggregation, and the use of feedback tools to generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and spoken knowledge of English.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in business analysis processes and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of other UN languages, particularly French.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze and synthesize data from employee engagement surveys and other culture assessments, performance management processes and other people metrics, translating findings into clear, actionable insights and concise briefing materials for HRMD leadership and senior stakeholders.
  • Identify patterns and trends in people data and contribute to the development of evidence-based recommendations that inform culture, engagement, diversity, belonging and performance management.
  • Contribute to the planning, design and delivery of culture, engagement, diversity and belonging initiatives, translating insights into targeted interventions, supporting implementation, and monitoring participation and impact to inform continuous improvement.
  • Support the annual performance management cycle, including coordination of timelines, development of guidance materials, management of queries, and analysis of cycle data to strengthen performance practices and connect with culture, engagement and diversity initiatives.
  • Support the use of dashboards and other data visualizations and tracking tools to monitor engagement, performance and program outcomes, ensuring accurate data and clear insight for decision making.
  • Prepare concise analytical reports and briefing materials for HRMD leadership and governing body audiences, including contributions to WIPO’s Annual Report and program performance reports.
  • Contribute to knowledge management by maintaining and curating evidence-based culture, engagement, and talent frameworks, tools and resources, and tracking program outcomes to support continuous learning and improvement.

  • Salaries and allowances are paid in Swiss francs at the official rate of exchange of the United Nations.
  • Initial fixed-term appointment of two years, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and other applicable conditions.
  • The selected candidate’s appointment will be subject to an overall term of five years in this position, with normally no possibility of renewal beyond that term.
