Under general supervision, lead, develop and performs tasks in the development of cultural arts programs. This position is responsible for conducting need assessments, implementing and evaluating programs, designing promotional materials, performing administrative operations, developing and registering participants for guided tours, workshops, demonstrations and other events. The role also involves maintaining facilities, collections, exhibits, records, and material assets, as well as assisting colleagues with their programs and recommending purchases or deaccessions to existing collections. Additionally, the specialist will receive fees, issue receipts, account for money, coordinate with other organizations, solicit donations, provide information to the public, develop and monitor program budgets and data for reports, and manage inventory of equipment and supplies. This role provides general supervision of temporary employees, contract workers, and volunteers.
