About The Position

As an Event Supervisor at the Multi-Cultural Center, you will have the opportunity to choose the shifts you want to work, meet new people, and learn about different cultures. This is an on-call position with varied hours based on scheduled events, including weekends and evenings. Scheduling is dependent on operational needs and your availability, with no guaranteed hours. The role involves serving as the main point of contact for groups using the Coliseum, ensuring a welcoming presence, providing support, and maintaining communication. You will operate basic equipment and ensure policies are followed, provide general oversight, and secure the facility after events.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills demonstrated with confidence and respect.
  • Available to work weekends and evenings.
  • Sensitive to special needs and cultural differences.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Willingness to submit to record checks to detect criminal convictions of behavior harmful towards children, spousal abuse, distributing drugs or sex crimes.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one with approved driver status.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience coordinating event preparations preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for groups using the Coliseum.
  • Provide a welcoming presence.
  • Ensure groups have what they need and offer support throughout the event.
  • Greet group leaders.
  • Maintain communication.
  • Operate lights and basic AV or kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure policies are followed.
  • Provide general oversight of the event.
  • Confirm the facility is secure once the event concludes.
