About The Position

Carrier Sekani Family Services (CSFS) is seeking a Cultural Coordinator for a term position ending August 2026. This full-time role (35 hours per week) is remote and requires travel to 11 member Nations. CSFS is a leader in Indigenous health and family services, with culture at the core of its operations. The organization has grown to over 475 employees and serves 11 member Nations. This position offers unique experiences and connections with communities in northern BC.

Requirements

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with Indigenous communities.
• Demonstrated facilitation skills and knowledge of Carrier Sekani traditional culture.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Nation(s) to develop and/or collaborate on existing cultural programming that is holistic and aligned with Nation-specific cultural protocols and values.
• Provide cultural knowledge and/or support to CSFS departments, enhancing service delivery with cultural integration.
• Maintain a workplan that demonstrates community collaboration, programming, and event scheduling.
• Provided regular reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Liaise with CSFS programs and community members to identify and support individual, family, and community cultural support needs related to holistic wellbeing.
