About The Position

Distinctive Living is seeking a part-time Restaurant Utility Worker for its Mira Vie at Brookfield location in Belvidere, New Jersey. Under the direction of the Restaurant and Hospitality Manager or Director, Restaurant and Hospitality, this position supports meal service by helping ensure quality service delivery and compliance with special diets offered by the community. Duties include setting and bussing tables, washing dishes, assisting cooks as needed, and completing cleaning tasks. The role also involves communicating appropriate matters to the management company and contributing to a positive dining experience for residents and visitors. The listed shifts are 8 a.m.–12 p.m., 8 a.m.–4 p.m., 12 p.m.–4 p.m., 12 p.m.–8 p.m., and 4 p.m.–8 p.m. The employer describes a culture focused on team-member growth, value, and inspiration.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of experience in food service or another customer-service-related field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate in person and over the phone.
Strong personnel and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Support a positive customer-service culture in the dining room under the direction of the Restaurant and Hospitality Manager or Director, Restaurant and Hospitality.
Offer evaluations of service quality and develop systems to maximize meal-delivery efficiency while maintaining a pleasant dining experience.
Take food and beverage orders, deliver food, and clear, clean, sanitize, and reset tables.
Make every expected effort to maintain customer satisfaction and resolve dining challenges with customers before meal service concludes.
Maintain a clean dining room, including equipment, walls, tabletops and bases, chairs, linens, tabletop condiments, and salt and pepper shakers.
Wash and sanitize dishware as required.
Work safely, ensure employees working with them work safely, manage unsafe actions, and comply with Safety Committee Standards.
Foster teamwork, show initiative in overcoming obstacles, assist others beyond job responsibilities, and positively affect co-workers, residents, and visitors.
Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Communicate appropriate matters to the management company.
