About The Position

Big Al’s is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Culinary Team Member to work in a fast-paced, scratch-kitchen environment. The role supports kitchen operations by washing dishes, preparing ingredients and party food, cooking on the line, plating meals, following recipes, minimizing waste, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen. The position is part-time and based in Milpitas, California. Candidates must be available to work weekends, nights, and holidays. The role includes hands-on paid training and opportunities for career development and advancement.

Requirements

• Ability to use Micros, KDS, or Compeat, or learn them quickly.
• Ability to follow recipes without shortcuts.
• Commitment to kitchen safety.
• Ability to work well with others and contribute positively to the team.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handlers Certification.
• Availability to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Ability to spend significant time standing, bend, reach, and push, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds; items over 50 pounds require a team lift.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes and keep the dish pit clean.
• Prepare vegetables, dough, and party food.
• Cook meals on the line quickly and safely.
• Plate food neatly before it is served.
• Follow recipes and keep food waste low.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain a clean kitchen.
• Follow food-safety rules throughout each shift.
