Culinary Services Aide (Food Server)
About The Position
The Culinary Services Aide serves meals to residents and helps create an engaging dining experience that accommodates individual preferences. The role helps maintain a welcoming dining environment, follows food safety and dietary guidelines, and operates, cleans, and sanitizes kitchen and cafeteria equipment. General cleaning and dishwashing are also part of the position. The aide participates in culinary training. This is a part-time evening role scheduled from 4:15 PM to 7:00 PM. Candidates of all experience and skill levels are welcome; cross-training as a Cook may eventually be available.
Nice To Haves
- Food service or customer service experience, including experience as a cook, server, dietary aide, culinary aide, food service worker, or in another customer service-focused role.
- Enjoy working with senior populations.
- Interest in learning and growing within culinary services.
- Interest in cooking; previous culinary or cooking experience is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming atmosphere in dining areas for residents.
- Follow food safety and dietary guidelines based on residents’ needs.
- Operate, clean, and sanitize kitchen and cafeteria equipment.
- Perform general cleaning and dishwashing.
- Participate actively in culinary training.
