Food Server - Dining Services Aide
About The Position
The Food Server supports food preparation and meal service in a senior living community, helping create welcoming dining experiences for residents, families, and guests. The role includes preparing and plating meals, following resident diet orders and portion guidelines, supporting safe and tidy kitchen operations, delivering trays, and assisting in the dining room. The position follows food-handling, sanitation, infection-control, and regulatory requirements and works collaboratively with the dining team and supervisors. The part-time schedule is 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekdays and 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekends. It includes working every other weekend and every other holiday. The position is based at Saint Therese in Westlake, Ohio.
Requirements

- Read and understand English and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Comply with federal, state, and local health regulations, including required post-offer screenings.
- Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- One year of food service experience, preferably in senior living, healthcare, or long-term care dining.
- Experience following diet orders, portion-control standards, and food-safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal service according to resident diet orders, menu standards, and portion guidelines.
- Prepare and portion food according to therapeutic and modified diet requirements as directed.
- Follow safe food handling, sanitation, and infection-control practices and applicable state, local, and facility regulations.
- Assist with tray-line service, meal delivery, and dining-room support.
- Maintain clean and organized kitchen and serving areas and equipment.
- Collaborate with dining team members and supervisors to support efficient meal service.
- Help provide a welcoming, customer-focused dining environment for residents, families, and guests.
