About The Position
Catholic Eldercare is seeking a Dining Services Aide for its senior living community in Blaine, Minnesota. The schedule includes an afternoon shift from 4–7 p.m. The role supports meal preparation and service, kitchen cleanup, and assistance to residents during dining hours. Catholic Eldercare describes its community as a group of residential facilities in Northeast Minneapolis providing assisted living, independent living, skilled nursing, memory care, transitional care, and adult day services.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and documentation.
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency, accuracy, and competency in assisting with medication administration on a consistent basis.
- Ability to work independently and dependably to efficiently deliver care that meets residents’ needs.
- Ability to work with residents from diverse backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned duties, including meal preparation, serving, dishwashing, putting stock away, and cleanup in accordance with kitchen guidelines.
- Maintain orderliness and cleanliness in the Dining Services Department, including the kitchen, dining room, and storage areas.
- Understand residents’ diets for nursing home and adult day program services and follow correct meal-serving procedures.
- Assist residents and tenants as needed during dining hours.
- Observe and report residents’ meal intake as required while responding to their needs with kindness and respect.
