About The Position

Catholic Eldercare is seeking a Dining Services Aide for its senior living community in Blaine, Minnesota. The schedule includes an afternoon shift from 4–7 p.m. The role supports meal preparation and service, kitchen and dining-area cleanliness, and residents’ dining needs. The aide is expected to understand residents’ diets and meal-service procedures, observe and report intake as required, and interact with residents in a kind, respectful, and sensitive manner.

Catholic Eldercare operates residential facilities in Northeast Minneapolis, offering assisted living, independent living, skilled nursing, memory care, transitional care, and adult day services.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and documentation.
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency, accuracy, and competency consistently when assisting with medication administration.
• Ability to work independently and dependably to efficiently deliver care that meets residents’ needs.
• Ability to work with residents from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned duties, including meal preparation, serving, dishwashing, putting stock away, and cleanup in accordance with kitchen guidelines.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness in the Dining Services Department, including the kitchen, dining room, and storage areas.
• Understand residents’ diets (for NH and ADP) and follow the correct procedures for serving meals.
• Assist residents and tenants as needed during dining hours.
• Observe and report residents’ meal intake as required, while showing sensitivity to their needs and maintaining a kind and respectful manner.
