Concorde Education is identifying culinary professionals, educators, and experienced cooking enthusiasts for future independent contractor assignments leading Cooking and Culinary Arts programs at participating schools and community-based locations. Programs serve K–12 students, with grade levels varying by assignment, and provide hands-on, age-appropriate opportunities to develop practical kitchen skills while exploring food, nutrition, creativity, and culinary traditions. Assignments vary by school in availability, schedule, student age group, facilities, and content. Most opportunities involve approximately one instructional session per week, generally lasting about one hour, over a program of approximately 8–10 weeks. Assignments are offered throughout the school year as opportunities become available through school and community partnerships. Depending on the assignment, students may explore cooking and baking fundamentals; kitchen organization, sanitation, and safety; recipes and food preparation; safe use of kitchen tools; nutrition; culinary traditions; meal planning; food waste awareness; and shared kitchen responsibilities. Instructors lead interactive activities using provided or approved program materials, supervise hands-on food preparation, maintain a supportive learning environment, and adapt activities to students’ ages and experience, as well as available facilities and equipment. They follow school procedures, allergy guidelines, and food-safety requirements, communicate professionally with program contacts, maintain attendance records, and complete required assignment documentation.
