Concorde Education is identifying culinary professionals, educators, and experienced cooking enthusiasts who may be interested in leading future Cooking and Culinary Arts programs as independent contractors. Instructors lead hands-on, age-appropriate enrichment activities for K–12 students at participating schools and community-based locations. Programs help students develop practical kitchen skills while exploring food, nutrition, creativity, and culinary traditions. Assignments vary by school in availability, schedule, student age group, facilities, and content. Most opportunities involve approximately one instructional session per week, generally lasting about one hour, and individual programs commonly run for approximately 8–10 weeks. Assignments are offered throughout the school year as programs become available. Depending on the assignment, instruction may cover cooking and baking fundamentals, kitchen organization and safety, recipe reading, measuring and ingredient preparation, safe use of kitchen tools, cooking methods, nutrition, culinary traditions, meal planning, food waste awareness, and shared kitchen responsibilities. Instructors use provided or approved materials, supervise hands-on food preparation, maintain a supportive instructional environment, and adapt activities to students’ ages and experience, as well as available facilities and equipment. They follow school procedures, allergy guidelines, and food-safety requirements, communicate professionally with program contacts, maintain attendance records, and complete required documentation.
