About The Position

Silverado Aspen Park is hiring a PRN Culinary Aide to help provide residents with a warm, nourishing, and welcoming dining experience in a memory care setting. The role combines food service skills, attention to detail, and hospitality while supporting individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. The position is an active role involving walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

The schedule is PRN (per diem), AM shift, Sunday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The anticipated pay range is $16–$20 USD. Employment offers are contingent on a background check, drug screening, physical, and TB testing if applicable.

Requirements

• Food Handlers Certificate from the County Department of Environmental Health.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Willingness to work with individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
• Comfort working around animals and pets.
• Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
• Ability to perform active work involving walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Dependability, eagerness to learn, and ability to thrive in a team-focused environment.
• Care, consistency, integrity, and compassion when supporting others.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and kitchen sanitation.
• Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness of food service areas.
• Deliver resident meal carts and stock refrigerators.
• Set and clean dining areas to ensure a pleasant mealtime experience.
