About The Position

Silverado Bellingham is hiring a part-time Culinary Aide to help provide a warm, nourishing, and welcoming dining experience for residents. The role combines food service tasks, attention to detail, and hospitality in a memory care setting serving individuals with neurodegenerative conditions, including Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. The schedule is an AM shift on Monday from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM and Friday from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM. The anticipated pay range is $20–$21 USD. Employment offers are contingent on a background check, drug screening, physical, and TB testing if applicable. Silverado uses E-Verify to confirm work authorization.

Requirements

• Food Handlers Certificate from the County Department of Environmental Health.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Willingness to work with individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
• Ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Comfort working around animals and pets.
• Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
• Dependability, eagerness to learn, and ability to thrive in a team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and kitchen sanitation.
• Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness of food service areas.
• Deliver resident meal carts and stock refrigerators.
• Set and clean dining areas to ensure a pleasant mealtime experience.
