About The Position

University Nursing is hiring a full-time or part-time Culinary Aide to help ensure residents receive safe, nutritious, and delicious meals. The role supports meal preparation and service and helps maintain a clean work environment. Culinary Aides partner with culinary leaders and service staff to provide residents with a positive dining experience and meet their dietary needs.

Requirements

Commitment to customer service.
Willingness to perform routine tasks and work effectively alongside the culinary team and leaders.

Nice To Haves

Certification in sanitation or safe food handling; certifications can be earned while employed with American Senior Communities.
Prior restaurant server experience.

Responsibilities

Partner with culinary leaders to meet residents’ needs and provide a positive dining experience.
Prepare and portion meal items according to the menu and residents’ diet requirements.
Set up trays and carts in preparation for serving residents.
Work with service staff to collect soiled trays and wash dishes.
Clean equipment as needed and maintain a clean, sanitary workplace.
