Culinary Adjunct
About The Position
Elizabethtown Community & Technical College is seeking a Culinary adjunct instructor to teach and engage students in its culinary arts program. The assignment may include evening and weekend hours and teaching at ECTC satellite campuses. Candidates must be committed to teaching and learning, working with diverse populations, and supporting the College’s mission and vision. The instructor will provide hands-on instruction in food preparation and kitchen operations, demonstrate professional cooking methods and industry best practices, promote food safety, sanitation, and kitchen management, and share industry experience to prepare students for culinary careers. The instructor is also expected to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Culinary Arts.
- A minimum of 3–5 years of related experience.
- Strong commitment to teaching and learning, working with diverse populations, and supporting the College’s mission and vision.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on instruction in food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Demonstrate professional cooking methods and industry best practices.
- Promote food safety, sanitation, and kitchen management.
- Share real-world industry experience to prepare students for culinary careers.
- Create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
