The CT Technologist is responsible for performing CT scans on patients, ensuring accurate and timely results. This role involves patient identification, preparation, and explanation of procedures, as well as maintaining patient medical history and correlating test results. The technologist also administers IV contrast, evaluates image quality, and performs basic patient care functions. They are expected to practice radiation safety, maintain equipment, and adhere to hospital policies and procedures. Additionally, the role involves operating the radiology computer system, documenting procedures, and maintaining a clean and stocked work area. The CT Technologist may also assist other medical personnel during exams.
