About The Position

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of CT exams and related procedures at a technical level by utilizing the appropriate equipment to perform high quality imaging. This position is also responsible for following established standards and procedures, and reviewing images to determine adjustment for optimum results. The CT Technologist will participate in Quality Improvement work groups as requested.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology required.
  • Graduate from an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required.
  • Arkansas Department of Health Radiologic Technologist required.
  • BLS/CPR required upon hire or obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Strong technical skills as a radiologic technologist.
  • Knowledgeable in radiologic procedures.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast paced department in the hospital.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Comfortable working with diverse patient population.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations if required. (Thirty-minute response time for callback.)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Radiology/Other related field preferred.
  • American Registry of Computed Tomography preferred.
  • Minimum of one year (1) experience as a staff technologist or tech extern.
  • Three years (3) Clinical experience.
  • Prior experience in performing CT scans, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Cross-sectional anatomy, medical terminology, possesses generalized skill in medical imaging/ CT, general and other special procedures that are performed within the department.
  • Able to send and receive digital images by disc or electronically through various imaging software and electronic health record.
