About The Position

This is a traveling assignment for a CT Technologist in Los Angeles, CA, lasting 13 weeks. The role involves operating computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce diagnostic images, performing other imaging procedures like general radiography and fluoroscopy, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. The technologist will adhere to safety guidelines, maintain equipment, process images, and collaborate with the radiology team for efficient workflow.

Requirements

• Active radiologic technologist license as required by state regulations.
• Certification in CT imaging (ARRT-CT) or eligible for certification.
• Ability to work nights and maintain a consistent 8-hour night shift schedule.
• Experience with CT imaging; familiarity with general radiography and fluoroscopy preferred.
• Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills.
• U.S. work authorization and ability to work in a medical imaging environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images used for diagnosing medical conditions.
• Perform a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
• Position patients, verify information, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines, perform QC checks, and maintain imaging equipment in good working order.
• Process and route images to the PACS, and communicate results and any concerns to the radiology team.
• Collaborate with radiologists and technologists to ensure accurate, timely imaging and a smooth workflow.
