About The Position

Energy Transfer is hiring a Crude Oil Transport Driver to haul crude oil from individual lease locations to truck stations and pipeline injection points. The role involves aggregating crude oil purchased from individual leases and transporting it safely to pipeline injection points. Drivers typically work a rotational schedule, with shifts of up to 12 hours and varying day or night start times depending on location.

Compensation is paid per barrel at $0.3215 and per mile at $0.6314, with $24.50 per hour for other work-related activities such as new employee orientation and mechanical breakdowns. A $25 night-shift differential is offered. A $2,000 tuition reimbursement bonus is available to driving school graduates, subject to eligibility requirements.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Class A CDL with tanker and Hazmat (X) endorsements and no restrictions.
• Meet one of the following experience or training criteria: at least one year of verifiable truck-driving oil-field experience; two years of over-the-road driving experience; or graduation from an accredited truck-driving school.
• Have a clean driving record.
• Be able to pass a background check pursuant to local, state, and federal rules regarding transportation of hazardous materials.
• Pass Energy Transfer’s D.O.T. physical and drug screen, and obtain a D.O.T. medical card.

Nice To Haves

• Previous crude oil or other bulk hazardous-material transport and gauging experience.
• Handheld-device or computer experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport crude oil from lease locations to pipeline injection points.
• Accurately test crude oil quantity and quality.
• Maintain the tractor and trailer in accordance with all D.O.T. regulations.
• Represent Energy Transfer professionally.
• Provide a high level of service to customers.
• Adhere to all company safety rules, policies, and procedures.
