Driver Crude Oil - Roosevelt
About The Position
Maverik is hiring a safety-focused Class A CDL driver to transport crude oil in the Roosevelt, Utah area. The role offers year-round work and home-daily routes using modern, well-maintained manual trucks. Training may last up to 30 days and is typically conducted on the day shift; after completing training, the driver transitions to the long-term PM shift. The PM shift has start times between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM, with shifts averaging 10–12 hours and occasional longer days due to weather, traffic, or operational needs. The schedule rotates between five days on and two days off, followed by five days on and three days off. The operation runs year-round, 24/7, and requires weekend, holiday, and all-weather driving, including winter conditions and chaining when necessary.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
- At least one year of Class A CDL driving experience.
- Recent experience operating a manual transmission.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Clean driving record (MVR) and a strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, background check, and road test in a 13–18 speed manual transmission truck.
- Understanding of Samsara and slip/shared truck seating.
- Ability to sit for long periods.
- Ability to repeatedly stand, walk, handle, reach horizontally, and grasp firmly throughout a shift.
- Ability to frequently reach above the shoulder and below the waist, push buttons, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, and push throughout a shift.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry 75–100 pounds.
- Close, distance, color, and depth vision abilities.
- Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
