About The Position

The Critical Care Technician (CCT) assists the Registered Nurse with delegated tasks related to the acute care of patients. The technician provides age-appropriate care in a culturally and ethically sensitive manner and reports to the Nurse Manager of the assigned unit and to the RNs on duty during each assigned shift. Other duties may be assigned. This is an on-site role at Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, with a 0.4 FTE and a 7 p.m.–11 p.m. shift. The schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of the Critical Care Tech course or an equivalent within six months of hire.
Successful completion of a skill competency checklist validated by a Registered Nurse.
Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally and in writing.
Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification, or current enrollment in a nursing program with documentation from an accredited professional nursing school showing successful completion of the basic nursing course covering Wisconsin administrative code criteria and at least one acute-care medical/surgical clinical rotation.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS), or an AHA-approved equivalent, within 90 days of hire.
