About The Position

The Critical Care Nurse Educator - ICU/Stepdown position at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA is a full-time, day shift role. The Nurse Educator will collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based practice to all clinical and non-clinical staff. Responsibilities include developing and implementing policies and procedures, introducing new skills, equipment, and processes, validating competencies for all disciplines, and onboarding new team members. This role also involves conducting training for the Nurse Residency program, Preceptor Workshop, CNA Workshops, Critical Care Orientation Series, and ICU/SD New to Specialty Programs. The Educator will attend departmental meetings as needed, coordinate with various clinical departments, and manage projects.

Requirements

• Understanding and knowledge of educational techniques and principles of adult learning.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, physicians, leadership and ancillary department staff.
• Ability to generate enthusiasm for learning and professional growth among employees.
• Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work with a variation of hours to provide education to all the various clinical shifts in all departments.
• Five years of full-time experience as a licensed Registered Nurse providing direct patient care in a hospital setting.
• Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of California.
• Current BLS (CPR) required through the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred knowledge in working with PowerPoint, Excel, email and the electronic medical record.
• Preferred experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in the acute care setting.
• Master’s Degree
