The Clinical Educator, Critical Care is responsible for assessing, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating education programs to meet the clinical needs of staff and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves identifying content for learning modules, maintaining knowledge of regulatory standards, and serving as a planner and subject matter expert for continuing education programs. The educator demonstrates professional leadership, conducts educational programs for varied audiences, and collaborates with leadership and multidisciplinary departments to meet educational needs. Key responsibilities include providing clinical instruction for competency development, orienting new staff, developing performance improvement plans, and evaluating staff performance. The role also involves participating in quality patient care initiatives, adhering to safety precautions, and maintaining an advanced understanding of departmental and healthcare system operations. Proficiency in Computerized Nursing Informatics is expected, along with participation in projects and other assigned duties. The Critical Care Educator also conducts unit-specific clinical audits, updates learning modules, and participates in unit-specific PI initiatives.
